Position Summary:
Position Summary:
The programmer/analyst develops procedures for the solution of well-defined, routine business problems. He/she converts these procedures into applications and programs required for computer solutions. He is actively involved in testing, documenting and implementing the developments. He/She supports the applications of the user community at a technical level.
Experience in the Retail business would be an asset. As would be knowledge about the JDA application, Supply Chain and Merchandising.
Responsibilities:
· maintain and modify existing applications/ programs; write new programs of moderate complexity and scope, working with basic applications systems designs and specifications, using standards procedures and techniques
· assist junior programmers in the development of complex programs
· work on routine , well-defined, analysis-type problems related to a single activity or procedure
· analyze source and content of data
· participate in certain aspects of user consulting, system analysis, general & detail systems design, vendor contacts
· identify, evaluate, develop tests, implement, document and maintain functionality
· learn user functions, organization and role in the enterprise
· Manage smaller technical projects - play leading technical role in projects

Profile:
Min 5 years experience in programming in the above mentioned environments
· native As400 RPG II,II,IV - RPGILE
· OS400, CL language
· Version Control utilities (e.g. Implementor)
· Database design and technology, embedded SQL, stored procedures
Min 2 years experience or knowledge of any of the following
· XML,XSLT technology
· Middleware (e.g. Websphere MQ series, RemoteWare,...or other)
· PC environment
· Interfacing (real time, batch + protocols/methods)
· Networking basics
· Ability to do programming, debugging, data analysis, system analysis and testing
· Ability to support end users
· Fluent in English. Other languages such as German, French, Dutch are an asset
