Job description
Main Purpose
The business analyst / process manager will work in the transversal team of the F/O tools project. His main task will be to specify and test pieces of work for the derivatives project. In this context, the business analyst needs to: Take the leading role in the definition of business workflows necessary for the derivative project Provide the analyses of the functional specifications based on these business requirements Support the business in preparing and executing the user acceptance tests Support the technical development and test teams in translating the functional specifications into technical design and test scenarios. Execute tests plans.

Follow the Prince2 standards Follow the Fortis Investments Analyst Method Be informed concerning the business objectives and strategy Prepare plans for the analysis work and agree these with the Project Manager Gather and describe the functional requirements of the business Describe the functional specifications and the functional risks Organise the functional review and make sure the user expectations are met Cooperate with the project Manager and the key users in order to define the Business Case Cooperate with the Project Manager in case of package selection with the functional part of the request for proposal Cooperate with the Project Manager in case of package selection with the evaluation of the proposals Explain the analysis document to the technical development team(s) and testers and support them in case of questions/functional problems Be the user´s first point of contact in case of questions Collect and assess all change requests according to project objectives, strategy and priorities set out before discussing them with the Project Manager Control of the functional specification are correctly translated in development and functional tests Support the users in defining the acceptance criteria and preparing and executing the user acceptance tests Cooperate with the Project Manager in monitoring the business case and the functional risks Build up business knowledge and functional application knowledge for one or more business lines

Required Experience / Skills
General requirements : The role will ask active involvement and a very good insight in every aspect of the asset management business (from investment decision over dealing desk to settlement and reconciliation).
Professional / Technical Experience: At least 5 years of experience in Asset Management, with a thorough insight in Transaction flow process (front to back) for different asset classes. Good Business analysis, process definitions, documentation & formalisation skills. This must include experience on in-house development design/specifications and data modelling capabilities. Strong knowledge of derivatives from front to back office (especially credit derivatives) Knowledge of Decalog, LatentZero or thinkFolio are key advantage Managerial Experience: Although no team needs to be managed, the implementation and change of processes will often involve co-ordination with a lot of different parties.
Academic & Professional Qualifications University degree (engineering, economics, finance, ...) Business analysis courses.
Language Skills Fluent in English and ideally in at least one other language used in the group (French/Dutch)
